GHK-Cu – 50mg
GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide) is a tripeptide naturally present in blood plasma with a sequence of Gly-His-Lys that readily binds with copper to form the copper tripeptide complex. Research suggests GHK-Cu may function as a repair signal by imitating the presence of the GHK triplet in collagen alpha-2 type I chains, potentially triggering fibroblasts to synthesize new collagen and contribute to tissue regeneration. Studies demonstrate GHK-Cu’s potential to influence multiple biological pathways, including induction of tissue repair, immune cell attraction, collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis in skin fibroblasts, and regulation of extracellular matrix components. GHK-Cu increases MMP-2 expression at the transcriptional level while simultaneously stimulating TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 secretion, indicating a role in finely tuning the balance of matrix remodeling. In wound models, GHK-Cu enhanced ulcer closure from 60.8% to 98.5% and decreased infection rates from 34% to 7%. Research has shown it may also promote nerve regeneration by increasing nerve growth factor expression and myelinated nerve fiber regeneration, stimulate keratinocyte proliferation and epidermal stem cell potential, and exhibit antioxidative characteristics against reactive carbonyl species, hydroxyl radicals, and ferritin-mediated lipid peroxidation.
